Suika wa Shoushika Tantou
In the year 20XX, Japan faces a national crisis as its population rapidly declines due to a falling birth rate. In a desperate effort to prevent the country from disappearing, the government enacts an unprecedented policy—women who reach a certain age are assigned to single men.
Under this system, Suika, a shy yet deeply responsible girl, is matched with Hedeki, a reclusive and underachieving man who once dreamed of becoming a novelist. Despite her embarrassment, Suika earnestly asks him, “Please… will you make a baby with me?”
Bound together by an extraordinary law neither of them ever imagined, the two begin living under the same roof, navigating an awkward, heart-racing, and unexpectedly tender daily life.
A provocative romantic drama exploring responsibility, intimacy, and connection in a near-future Japan begins.
